Shadows in the park?

This was taken the other night at Pratt, on the Nature Trail... The park is rumored to be where satan worshippers help their rituals in the past... This picture was taken by my daughter...
They were going down the trail and the hair on her neck stood up... she got the feeling someone was watching her from behind, and following them... so she turned and clicked a picture, and this showed up... Does it look like a black shadow form on the trail?

I'll let you decide...

(edit: I've been told that a man's body was found somewhere along this nature trail.. it was ruled a suicide, but his friends all swear it was murder - some "vindication" thing or something... interesting, eh?)

I grew up in a haunted house... There are some freaky pics I took there in the archives of this blog... The house was destroyed in the tornado, though...
a friend of my mother who was a full-blooded Cherokee, spent the afternoon in the house, and refused to ever set foot in it again... So many freaky things happened to all of us in that house...

How old is your building?
Have you ever taken pictures down there?
I like posting friends' ghost pics/stories here, too!

I'd bet with Austrailia's history, it's got lots of ghosts!!

I love printing friend's ghost stories here... Since all my haunted houses were destroyed in the tornado, I don't have much to post... Until I start checking out some of these abandoned farms around... :)

Holy moly! What a cool picture!!

I wanted to thank you for coming by my blog and commenting. I didn't realize you were a fellow Kansan! I have lived in Kansas my entire life and now reside in Leavenworth. :) It's good to see people like you and Moonshadow representing Kansas!!

I noticed you had mentioned tornado a couple of times. Were you hit by that twister that went through Greensburg? If so, you have my deepest condolences for all that was lost during that horrible storm.

I've been through two tornados myself (as a kid) and can understand somewhat what it feels like. I used to live in Topeka.

Anyway, please come on by any time and I hope we can stay in touch.

Take care -
TheMrs

Isn't it?? I'm just jealous that I wasn't out there with the hair on MY neck standing straight up!! LOL...

I haven't found a whole lot of Kansas blogs out there... It was nice to find another... :)

We WERE in the Greensburg tornado... Lost out house, but our family was unhurt and thats the main thing... Although the FEMA trailer is starting to drive me crazy, and we still don't know if we'll get another house or not... *sigh* We're hanging in there!

I WILL be back to visit! Thanks for stopping in! (I don't get to post to this blog much, although it's my favorite!)

very amazing picture! The last house i lived in (over 100 years old) was, I felt, had spirits. My youngest son, 5 at the time always talked to 'the people' and talked about someone in an accident in the water. He had a name for the spirit.

We had strange experiences in that house!

Sounds like a great house!
I grew up in a house like that... loud banging, scraping noises that would last all night long... full bodied apparitions, things flying through the air on their own, things being moved, lots of things in pictures...
I'll miss that house now that the tornado got it! lol... maybe we should rebuild OUR house on MOMS old lot!! :)

i don't know.. stories like this gives me the creeps but i still dont believe in ghosts cuz i've never seen one. heard a lot of stories though.

I can understand that, but I HAVE seen them... growing up in a house with so many "incidents" made it hard NOT to believe!

That looks like an apparition to me! Well done for her! When I come out there to visit one day, I will definitely have to visit that place.

:)

PS, you look great these days A!

I will take you there, as long as you don't mind sneaking in the back way - they lock the part gates at 10 pm, and you have to go in through the back woods... :)

Thank you, darlin'! PLEASE keep in touch... I miss our conversations! :)

That photo makes me shiver. I went to college in Pratt and heard all those rumors. One night some friends and I decided to go exploring in that park (which is beautiful during the day!), and I will NEVER do that again. We heard strange noises, and felt like we were being followed.

It IS a very strange place at night... I would love to go in with more equipment... all those "ghost hunting" things that cost an arm and a leg...lol
The only thing stopping me is that it's illegal to be there after 10 pm - it didn't bother my daughter, though... lol My curiosity may get the better of me one of these days, though.. :)
